Our kittens are shipped from SW Florida International Airport, Fort Myers. Counter To Counter Service is our preferred method. They keep pets in air-conditioning throughout the flight and on all layovers. They generally allow you to pick up your animal within 30 minutes after the flight has landed. This is generally the only service we ship on during the summer months because of the intense heat of summer, especially here in Florida. In cooler weather we may also use other airlines.
- Shipping rates vary between $75 and $175, the
higher rates generally in the hotter months.
Your kitten will also need an airline approved carrier, which we will purchase for you for a charge of $25. We will include a soft, absorbent bottom material, either a thick towel or blanket, depending on the weather. Also we send a small bag of food that the kitten is used to. Your health certificate and other necessary paperwork are usually included inside the carrier.
A lot of people worry that it will emotionally scar the kitten to travel that far on its own, but rest easy, most of them just lay down and take a nap. Just like being at home!
